I installed a Matrox G200 MMS Quad w/TV PCI card in a Dell Dimension PII 400mhz machine running Win 98SE with "latest" drivers and video tools off Matrox site.
Display driver: 6.82.016
Video Tools: 2.10.010a
I set the Matrox card to be the primary display in bios instead of the resident ATI AGP card.
Everything works fine except the PC-VCR buttons for record, timeshifting, etc. are disabled
on ther remote. TV viewing, channel changing only.
I have been looking around on the web for the solution to this. From what I have read I am getting the impression that the drver/tools combo I am using is sort of a 'unified' solution that has the recording functions disabled in this release.
Are my conclusions valid?
Is there a stable Win98SE driver/tools combo that has the record function enabled?
