  • Dr Mordrid - Question for you

    In another thread, you said that you have the E-TV working with AVI_IO's TV tuner. I just wanted to confirm that you mean the tuner that comes with AVI_IO and not the Matrox tuner that comes up when you change the source.

    The reason I'm curious is that the author of AVI_IO said that the tuner does _not_ work with the E-TV, so if you have it working, I'd love to know how.

    Thanks,

    Michelle

    PS: Sorry for posting something not of general interest, but I have no clue how to contact you privately. My email is mcox@charter.net if you want to continue the discussion off the boards.

    Using AVI_IO 3.19....

    The tuner I'm talking about is at Video Settings/Source/TV-Tuner. Just click the arrows up and down to change channels. Alternatively type in a channel number and click "Set".

    The eTV does NOT support the "Station Settings" dialog, but that doesn't mean you can't change the frequencies for them. That seting can be done for all programs in Matrox's PC-VCR software. The other features I find non-essential.

    eTV driver versions;

    Display: 6.10.011

    Capture: 02.01.47

    On another issue, if you click the little envelope with a "?" on it above my messages my email and ICQ e-dresses are in there.

      Ok, thanks, that clears it up. The problem with changing the channel using the "source" dialog is that it doesn't work with timers. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the next version will fix that.

      Thanks for the tip about getting the email. I never even noticed that before.

      Thanks,

      Michelle
