  • Got a new edit controller

I haven't been around here very often for quite a while, but I thought that I would drop a little note about something that some here may find useful. I just bought a Contour Shuttle Pro2, it is a USB jog/shuttle wheel that has 15 buttons, about 25 preset configurations (including MSP7) and is completely programmable. I grabbed mine off of Ebay for $83 shipped, which is well beyond MSRP.

It works very well so far, feels solid and while it does come with button labels that you can put underneath the clear plastic button covers, I don't really think that I need them. After just a few minutes I got pretty used to it and it works great. I won't be using it primarily for video editing, it is mainly for using for audio right now, but the sheer amount of supported apps was the selling point. Very rarely have I found a product that does so much so well for a reasonable price.

    Here is a link:

Shuttle is a multimedia controller perfect for any editor, whether you work with video, photo or graphic design. Shuttle Pro v2 is compatible with PC and Mac.

$79.95 w/ free shipping MSRP is $119 and cheapest I found it anywhere was $99.

This is where I got mine, pretty happy about it.
