Recently a DMN poster asked how the new Effects Manager compared to programs like Imaginate in which one can manipulate objects in the Preview Window by dragging controls.
The question was not answered completely because of an uncertainty if showing the Preview Window was outside the bounds of the NDA release permitting the posting of the Effects Manager proper and the Titler.
Since then we've received clearance to show the Preview Windows interaction with Effects Manager, but with one cavaet: the Preview Window is still under development and may well not look the same in the finished product. I'll also state that suggestions have already beem made to enlarge the viewport and make the controls more compact, so don't bother
That said we can now tell you that in MediaStudio Pro 8.0 we have what the betas are calling "Drag-Resize" in the Preview Window, meaning that when working on Moving Paths in the Effects Manager you can position, resize, rotate and transform the graphic directly in the Preview Window.
Here's what it looks like;
You drag on the green dots to resize, yellow dots to transform, shift-yellow to rotate and the center circle to position. Also note that the degree of rotation is also displayed over the graphic in black. In this example it's -20 degrees, which is also visually indicated by the rectangle marking the edges of the image.
Of course once a Moving Path is so defined it can be saved as a custom Moving Path for re-use or its properties can be copied using the context menu's copy/paste attributes selection to as many other images as you see fit.
