Hi!
I'm interested in creating a film-look from a video source to be outputted to VHS (vcr)/DV (s-video in on camera).
Which one do you think would look better?
Should I:
1) Capture the video at 23.976 and output to tape with the same framerate
2) Capture at 23.976, use Tmpegenc to perform a 3:2 pulldown, thereby making the video 29.97 fps
3) Capture at 29.97, use Tmpegenc to perform inverse telecine, thereby making the video 23.976 fps
4) Capture at 29.97, use another program to perform inverse telecine
I'm not sure if (1) will transfer well to video since it will be recording at 29.97 fps
but I'm not sure if any framerate conversion (2) and (3) will make the sound out of sync
Thanks for your help!
