Background music in MSP7

I've got a song going for the video's background music but when I add sound effects on another track, it turns down the song momentarily. I've normalized everything I can....but it still happens. This audio needs to be smooth.


What's the problem?

Is it 7.00? If so, I suggest you download and install the SP3, to make it 7.3.

7.01 update came out about a year ago which fixed this issue.
You are better off going straight to 7.3 as Brian said though.

You think it's bad to have a $500 app that has bugs? Hate to tell you but even $15,000 editing (and other) apps have those. No escaping 'em. This is what Service Packs are for.

As the others have suggested: go straight to 7.03.
