Any program capable of "blue dot" effect?

Are there any programs (cheap hopefully) that will let someone put a "blue dot" over a portion of the image, and move it as necessary to keep it positioned correctly? I have tried MSP 5.2, but you have to apply it to each frame.

That's how it has to be done, but if you learn how to keyframe properly you can minimize the number of frames you have to "touch". I use the Star effect with everything turned down to where it's a blob.

I think that is it then, I never actually tried using keyframes, but it makes sense to try it now. Thanks.

We have a program at work called Commotion. It is used with our AVIDs and even at the high price it is a pain. It only uses Quicktime files and will only load a few frames. The demos look great and I know exactly what you are talking about, to stabilize a wobbly shot. There is a program called Twixtor that may do the same thing at a fraction of the cost. I read about it in some DV mag. I can't remember the price, but it sounded like it may do what your are looking for.

Actually I am trying to remove items from the scene so it is unidentifiable. I guess the other thing that would work is something that "de-pixelates" certain areas, such as they do in shows like Cops, and in videos on MTV where TM owners don't want their TM'ed items shown in Gangsta' Rap videos. I see Coca-Cola soda cans covered all the time.

Yeah, sorry about that. I dug out the mag and read up on it some more. It looks like it is primarily for retiming video form 29.97 to 24.97 and removing the ghosting effects. Atleast that is what the magazine focused on. My apologies.
