UMSP Preview Window

Is there a way I can prevent the Preview Window from being launched each time I open the video editor ?

In MSP8 you just close the Preview/Source window then go into the Layout Manager and create a new custom layout with it that way.

The Layout Manager lets you create several layouts specific to certain tasks then hotkey or menu switch between them. Nice

In MSP7 close the Preview window then close the program. The next time it starts the preview window will not be there. Same thing can be done with the Source window.

I have just been trying what you have sujested, Doc.
Can you please try it with a PicVideo, 25 fps, 720 X 576 template. UMSP 7 ?
For me, it keep coming back.

Yes it does, even in NTSC. Odd given that with DV it doesn't

Now you know why MSP8 has a layout manager....

Thanks Doc, It's a relief to know. I taught somthing was misbehaving.
Yes, correct it will not happen on DV or some DVD templates (mpeg2).

While on the subject , can you please let me know where the Layout templates for UMSP8 are stored. It will save me time if I have to reinstall
