  • Is it possible? Radeon AGP and PCI Marvel for capture?

I have received a free ATI Radeon VE, and I still have my old Marvel G200 PCI card. I seem to recall issues with vid capture software, but can't recall what it is. Does anyone think this combo would work? Would I still be able to watch TV in a window?

    Thanks.

    System specs in sig.

i believe that the marvel would have to be the primary display... i remember back in the day with the millemium2s and rrs you had to have that be the primary display else it wouldn't work. i think that it's the case with the g200's also

Thanks. I will have to just test it out one weekend. I hope the switch in my BIOS that "determines" which card is primary actually works. If I could toggle between AGP and the PCI card for what I am trying to do, then that may work for what I want to do. I have found I play games less than I thought, so even if the Marvel is the primary card most of the time, then that may not be too bad.

Until Microsoft gets around to fixing DirectX overlay to work on secondary monitors TV and vidcap functions will be confined to the primary display card.
