  • time lapse camera suggestion

    Hi,
I have a project that I would like to use my matrox time lapse feature. Do you know of any cheaper color dvd quality video camera that will stay on for long periods? Needs to have svhs or composite output, sound is optional.

I use a high resolution CCTV camera and there are many such devices available.

Some models don't come with a lens or if they do it's a wide angle, but those with a C mount can be easily adapted to use 35mm lenses (Pentax etc.) with an adapter available from most camera shops. There are also wireless transciever kits available for remote use.

Outputs vary from RGB to S-Video/composite or 75 ohm coax. Those that come with a 75 ohm coax output can be easily adapted to composite or S-Video with standard video I/O adapters you'd use in a home theater.
