Just how much functionnality do you get with the beta videotools under win2k? Is it worth the install? Plus can the macrovision hacks enable you to rip from DVD?

The quick answer would be : No.
The beta are unstable for most and has several bugs, PAL resolutions are cropped to NTSC resolutions, etc etc,
If there's artificial intelligence, there's bound to be some artificial stupidity.

I'll second that no, but for another reason. Matrox has said final vid tools will be out late May. I'd rather wait a few weeks then get frustrated with those betas.
