Old school RR-S, best way to capture these days?
I used to a frequent flyer of these forums, but I have gone heavily into digital capture and have forgoten most of what I used to know like the back of my hand.
Here's what I want to do:
Capture off vhs using my trusty old(but not dead)rrs. In hopes of converting my degrading analog movie collection to Divx.
What is the best programs to do this these days? My concern is the file size of these captures, and which programs will allow this(I recall max 2gig files?) And which codec to use. I am a proud owner of the Morgan codec, but ultimately the file will be converted to divx, so what do you recomend?
What do I need to know about audio sync? I have Premiere 5 and 6 at my disposal which I used to use to convert morgan to mpeg4 befor.
Any help is appreciated. And glad to see you guys are still hanging out.
