Res for wide screen?

Hi,

Quick question for everyone. I have a source shot in widescreen. What res do you recommend for capture? Final output is in (S)VCD as well as Hi8. I was thinking of using 352x480, but was not sure if a different size (like 640x480) would be better.

Any thoughts?

If your setup is capable of it: 720x480, or as close to it as you can get. 704x480 with the Matrox and some other MJPeg cards.

Is it DV video?

The source is Hi8 format. Tests on widescreen sets look fantastic.

I definitely wanted a 2nd opinion on res. It looks really good both at 640x480 and 720x480. I can get 720x480 using PIC.
