  • Does G450 seperate rez on W2K break MSP6 DV playback?

I was so happy with the G450 performance on the Athelon and Premiere6 that despite a few shortcommings observed during limited testing with MSP6, I bought another for my main editing machine. Main shortcomming with MSP6 is timeline/preview scrub doesn't play out DVDmax. Source window scrub/playback works with DVDmax as expected. Playing a preview will send it out DVDmax.

I installed the "latest" 5.52 drivers and think I let it enable seperate resolutions.

Downgrading to the 5.33 drivers I have on the Athelon didn't help. Basic problem is DVDmax plays fine from Media Player but is very jerky from MSP6, worse, DV outptut stutters -- freezes and resumes when playing back the timeline.

    Any ideas?
I've reinstalled DirectX8 and the MSP6 DVpatchII to no avail.

    Uninstalling SP2 didn't fix it.
Reinstalling DirectX8 and its DV update didn't fix it.
Reinstalling MSP6 and its patch didn't fix it.

Uninstalling the G450 and replacing it with the Voodoo3 and certified drivers did.

How can I remove the effects of mistakingly choosing "independent resolutions" when I installed the G450? It works so well in my Athelon I'm willing to try installing the G450 again.
