  • Looking For Video Capturing Software

    Hi All,

Does anybody know if a video capturing software (MPEG-2) that can "hide" parts of
    the screen while capturing.
I do quite a lot of capturing via satellite and the translation of text would be placed in the
lower part of the screen (on letter boxed movies).
I remove this using UMSP but would involve more processing time and re encoding.

Have a look at InterVideo's WinDVD Recorder 5 Platinum:

...except I don't think it has the ability to "hide" parts of the video.

I'm not sure if any such product exists.

I found a great domain name for sale on Dan.com. Check it out!

      @Jerry Jones
      Thanks for the interest.
I am also of your opinion, however you're never too sure with all
      the new software.

Can't remember the name of the software...
It's a pity, so this post might not be useful.

Some time ago, I browsed softwares that were able to use several quickcams
to make video-surveillance systems based on these cheap usb cameras.

That one was able to put a watermark over each of the video streams on a
black background... just what you need.
It was a german software... I've tried to find it again but no luck.
Search for surveillance multiple quickcam usb watermark

It was downloadable (eval version) from CNET.
