Shouldn't we be seeing more Flash based camcorders by now?

I thought it might be interesting to dig up this old thread. Only about a year and a half ago and in the first post I stated a 4GB flash card had "come down" to $117! I just bought a 16GB SDHC card for $50 shipped. If SS memory continues to drop it could actually approach the cost of tape. Well probably not but it's starting to get darn cheap.

16GB for $50.
