Attempts to get picture to the TV - HELP!
Hi,
I have a problem. I am trying to get my computer picture to the TV. I have a matrox G450 Dualhead. The TV is sony kv32fd or something. It is a 32" wide tv with inputs s-video, rca, rgb etc.
I am attempting to get the picture to the tv with the s-video cable.
For that I attempted to use the desktop clone and dvdmax feature. No success yet. In the TV , the picture rolls upwards diagonally.
When I put the tv into PAP (picture and picture) mode, the secondary tuner displays the picture nicely. But the primary still flips. When I try to switch tuners, then the one that is currently secondary displays the picture, but the primary doesnt. That means that I cant switch the picture full-screen. And when I display something white on the screen (for an example wordpad covering 75% of the screen) the secondary tuner starts to flip too.
I have tried to use the multi display feature, but the computer (win2k) doesnt detect the secondary display, and thereby I cannot use the separate resolution and desktop feature. The stretched desktop gave no results. The screen still flickered.
When I tried to get the picture to 50hz, I couldnt. my primary monitor gave an error when going below 56 in 640x480, I could set it to 50hz in 800x600, but then still no picture in tv.
Changing the clone and dvdmax settings gave no result. Neither did switching between PAL and the other standard.
I even tried to put the TV as the primary display. Still no picture (it was a little better, but still not viewable) (I still couldnt put it to 50hz).
Does anyone have any suggestions to resolve this kind of a problem. I would be most grateful... I have fiddled with the problem for a week by now.
P.S. When I connect the computer to the TV with the RGB cable, the computer displays correctly in 640x480 or 800x600. And it doesnt have to be in 50hz mode.
