  • Marvel G400 - TV audio + Frame problems

    hi

    I have a PIII 750, asus mobo with 128 megs ram at pc-133. I have a 30gig Maxtor 7200rpm hdd and running Windows 2000 Pro with SP1/DX8
and running VTOOLS Version 02.02.17 and i BIOS version 2.1.035 and drivers version 5.06.031. i capture in 352X240 30fps ntsc. (29.97 fps drops frames like crazy so i cant even use that)I used the following programs...
    -VirtualDub
    -avi_io
    -pc-vcr
    -premiere
    -video capturix
they all droped frames. I'm not running any software or any windows hidden programs that it runs in the background. I defragged my hdd, ran scandisk, checked for viruses, and updated my mobo's bios. in return it did nothing but drop frames, audio out of sync, video looking grainy and audio making hummm noises. My sourse that i tryed captureing off of was regular cable/rca with vcr/direct anolog cable. They all resulted in frame loose/bad audio and a week image. Can someone help me out here and tell me what the heck is going on ??

    Hi

'bout all I can suggest is to read up on all the faqs if you haven't already, paying attention to the stuff on Matrox drives if yours is a brand new one.

I'm sure others will have better sugestions, but in the meantime, it wouldn't hurt to list as much info as possible, like the hard drive benchmarks for example, if the 30 gig is your only drive, how UDMA is set and so on.

    Thanks
    mike
