Hi all!
Seems every so often the discussion heads towards matters technical. I wanted to share one site in particular, that delves pretty deep in that side of things, especially DV. Warning! In high concentrations this stuff can make one's brain hurt!

The other day there was a thread regardng the quality of various formats, as in Hi-8, DV and so on... Here's a perhaps unique perspective, attempting to measure human perception: http://www.dv.com/magazine/1999/0599/formats0599.pdf
Myself, often the hardest thing for me to keep straight when working with video is the color space, as in switching back and forth and "now where am I"? If I mention 601 & you wonder what I'm talking about, a somewhat in depth but good explanation can be had here: http://www.dv.com/magazine/2000/0400/chrismeyer0400.pdf
Perhaps best taken tylenol in hand, Enjoy!
