I suspect these cautionary statements are intended to protect the officers of the company from liability and, frankly, these types of statements are not unusual for large firms in today's business world.

I suspect they're designed to clearly outline the risks to investors.

But their comment about not being able to obtain audited financial statements from Ulead in a "timely" manner was curious.

It would have been nice to learn more about that.

In addition, I think InterVideo's performance -- so far -- relative to marketing, which is supposed to be one of their strengths -- has been rather disappointing.

        Yes, I'm still here.

For those IVI comments you list in this thread Jerry, it's just some explainations to the share holders about the financial status of IVI.

I know you guys are questioning about the future of Ulead. What I can say now is, Ulead is still running in good status, along with InterVideo. Yes, some poeple left Ulead, but it's normal when a company is been bought by someone (or some other company). And, there are also some good people joined Ulead (and the big InterVideo family) after the purchase offer in March 2005.

After the purchase offer from IVI, Ulead still runs well in the multimedia industry. In last Sept., MSP 8 released, then PhotoImpact 11 (Oct. 17), PhotoExpress 6 (Oct. 31), and the PureHD SDK, the first world class HD / BD authoring SDK, is been adopted by Memory-Tech Japan (it's a company to offer High Definition DVD authoring / verification system to Hollywood studios). In this year, DVDMF 5 released (March 6), and DVDMF 5 is the first HD / BD authoring package in comsumer level in the world (evidence here). Then it's UVS 10 Plus (April 19) and the first service pack of MSP 8 (last month). I think it might be not fair at this moment to look down Ulead (and InterVideo).

Like my last post, I would see changes as chances to get things improved and make them better. Maybe I'm too optimistic, but that is what I thought.

Thanks for reading my post, and wish you guys to have a good day.

        Best regards,
        H.T.

But is it normal to not *replace* those people for months and months?

In the meantime, there are customers and beta testers who might like to re-establish relationships with real people at InterVideo.

By the way, you mentioned Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5.

          What happened?

First, the new software gets released with both "HD DVD" and "Blu-ray Disc" (BD) functionality.

Then it appeared that Ulead had to "withdraw" the BD functionality.

          What's the status of that?

I'm glad I read those SEC comments because I was about to buy some InterVideo stock and become an InterVideo investor myself.

          I'm not so sure now.

          I appreciate your comments and I think you're a fine person, H.T.

However, I'm somewhat concerned about the future of the Ulead products given InterVideo's strange silence on so many topics.

          Good luck to you.

With so many people "moving on," I hope InterVideo values you as an employee so we can all continue to benefit from your expertise.

          Until later,

          Jerry Jones

I'm not quite understand what you mean here, Jerry. Maybe I need to improve my English to be much better.

BTW, in my personal opinion I do think it's usual to see some people left and some people joined a company when some big issues happened, especially in IT industry. However, someone who left today might come back to rejoin tomorrow, and it really happens now.

I also wish InterVideo could consider this, really.

Well yes, the BD functionality is been temporary removed due to BD verification program issue, and it will be restored by the upcoming HD / BD burning pack soon.

Silence does not mean no future plans. I cannot speak for IVI now, but as I know, IVI do have future plans for Ulead products. However, I think I'm not the right person to say it here.

I really appreciate on your comments, Jerry. I also value you as my good friend, not just a Ulead customer.

            Sincerely,
            H.T.
