And I am surly impressed, although this puts me in a damn awkward position. I wanted to get a new PC soon (after I moved away from home), and i planned on getting a card for gaming, but now i fell in love with the etv (after having it for about 15 hours ), and i dont know whats more important, 3d or TV.

guess i have to save a lot of money and get two pc's (or is there a good mainboard with 2 agp slots????)

one problem though: i cant record in full PAL res, although i have a 1,2 gig athlon. i already posted this at matrox forum (http://forum.matrox.com/mgaforum/Forum11/HTML/003556.html), but they couldnt help me yet.
Did anyone here have the same problems or knows what it could be??

PS: as for that g550 etv thread, i hope they do it like they did with the current etv and dont realease it for another year, just got the g450etv

Topha, what about getting a fast 3D AGP card and a Hauppauge PCI card for capturing. No problems here capturing full PAL res (768x 576@25fps) in Win2k with the Hauppauge. I ust captured Hot Shots into a big nice 32GB MJPEG and dropped 27 frames over the whole movie - without the damn Creative SBUndead! I would even drop one single frame...

Besides, ATI also has cards with VideoIn and TV-Tuners, you know? And last not least there are also NVidia cards with such functionality (although I had an Asus VT3400TNT Deluxe for some time and was really not happy with the VideoIn - TV-Out was sharp though). And I guess you won't like NVidias 2D-"quality"

Sorry to only mention non-Matrox products but if you're into gaming/3D only a little bit, for the moment Matrox is IMHO simply out of bussiness.

      Hey Topha !

Is 3d that important for you ? I´m a proud owner of a marvel G400 and I´m satisfied with its 3d-performance, even the new games run fine with 800x600.

If you really want to upgrade please do me a favour: go for a VivdXS! with a kyro2, nice card with a good tv- out.
