These really look interesting, at first glance.
"This morning Canon USA and Canon Inc. announced the release of their first prosumer HDV camcorders, the XH G1 and XH A1 (MSRP $6999 and $3999, respectively)."
"Both include exactly the same imaging system as Canon's XL H1, including three 1/3-inch 16:9 CCDs and the ability to record 1080i video in both 60 interlaced and 24 frame rate modes."
"The company has effectively shrunk the price and the size of the XL H1."
"Both camcorders are high definition updates to the GL2, which has remained unchanged since its release 4 years, 1 month, and 1 day ago."
Well, obviously, CANON doesn't believe HDV is dead.
