We've just replaced an older rear projection TV with a new Smart Board 600 at the university where I work.
Here's the Smart Board:
They're interesting.
You can use "electronic" pens.
By lifting each "color" of pen off of the Smart Board tray, you can "write" -- electronically -- and when you put the pen back into the tray, you can then "erase" the electronic image.
If you write your name on the board, it can also use optical character recognition technology to convert the cursive writing into text.
The clarity and brightness of projected Web pages and virtually all other types of images are greatly improved over those of older rear projection large screen TVs.
