      This is just silly. Lets make a $60k/yr job for everyone with a college degree upons graduation the standard too.

          That article is rather slim on info, so I'm assuming that's not about consumer video, but movies. For digital cinema 2k just doesn't have the resolution of a good 35mm print, which is why they want to go all the way to 4k.
