    It's really too bad the image quality isn't better.

    I downloaded some sample clips from this page:



    The colors really jump out at you, but the artifacting is just too apparent.

    There was a time when I thought about buying one of these for fun.

    But the quality just isn't there.

    It's too bad because the .MP4 file format is relatively easy to edit.

    Wow Jerry, you're right, the quality isn't there.

    I'm seeing oversaturated colors to the point of blooming (and beyond), plus an overly contrasty image probably in an effort to simulate resolution. Really quite a mess. I'd go with a miniDV cam any day over this.

    The HD market in the under $3k or $4k range is really not good at this point in time...

      If I were shooting films, I'd get the JVC GY-HD110:

      But the lens would need to be upgraded.

      It's also too expensive for ordinary mortals.
