  • InterVideo WinDVD 8 Problems

    Can anybody resolve this one?

I just installed the new InterVideo WinDVD 8.

    All seemed to go well.

    However...

Each time I turn on the computer now the "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ulead" folder is automatically browsed to and opened.

    What the _____?

    What would cause this?

    How do I stop this?

    OK, I've fixed it.

Ulead PhotoImpact 11 has a little program called "Ulead Auto Detector" that hides down in the system tray.

After installing InterVideo WinDVD 8, this "Ulead Auto Detector" program's auto start feature was somehow activated.

Anyway, by clicking on the Ulead Auto Detector icon in the system tray, I was presented with a pop-up menu that featured a check box.

I UNCHECKED that box so that the program would *not* startup automatically.

    VOILA!

That pesky folder no longer opens when I boot the computer.

By the way, HDV playback in InterVideo WinDVD 8 is stellar.

      Very nice.

I haven't yet tested the H.264 playback, but plan to do so soon.
