    Enough to produce a couple hundred movies that are actually worth watching, much less protecting? IMO imaginative screenplays is where they should be investing those $$

          It is if you set up a system that makes it so. As yet they've been too lazy & complacent to do so. Go out there and get proven screenwriters & producers to adapt Asimov's "Foundation" series, anything by Ben Bova, Gene Wolfe's "The Book of the New Sun" etc. Anything but the tripe we're getting now.
