  • HD H.264 encoding - What bitrates are you finding acceptable?

I've done some H.264 HD encoding and am finding that using 2-pass encoding at 8000kbps bit rate I seem to be getting very good results with 1080i or 720p streams. Not perfect but acceptable. I'm seeing really excellent results at 12000kpbs.

What you are guys finding in regards to this?
