If one goes to the SANYO Web site and downloads one of those poor quality .MP4 720p clips, one can then insert them into the Ulead MediaStudio Pro 8 timeline and edit them (if one has the .MP4 plug-in from Ulead installed).
Unfortunately, the Ulead .MP4 plug-in is deficient in that it seems to be designed for small-screen video only and there's no way to export 1280 x 720 HD frame sizes.
After one gets over this disappointment, one can then try Windows Media HD as the output format.
After creating a Windows Media HD 720p clip, I then attempt to play the clip.
1. In InterVideo WinDVD 8, the clip plays fine.
2. In Microsoft's latest Windows Media Player -- with the InterVideo DVD X Pack installed -- I get a black screen, but the audio plays.
Why am I getting this black screen?
Shouldn't Microsoft's Windows Media Player play Microsoft's 720p high definition clips?
