HD-DVD is the clear winner over Blu-ray in the DVD format wars. Oh yeah, and the PS3 is a bust.

Jerry, don't you ever take a break from your crusade against BD and Sony?

Let's wait til end of 2007 (or better 2008, since it'll take a long time to declare a winner in the HD disc war) and see rather than trust the numerous crystal ball gazers.

Or are you planning on already investing in a player?

I agree! It's boring! Guess he has invested in Toshiba or has some other vested interest.

        Nope.

I have no investments in any "HD DVD" hardware or company stocks.

I just think the signs are pointing toward "HD DVD" over "Blu-ray Disc" and I am fully aware that the situation could change and that "Blu-ray Disc" could start to gain steam.

But "Blu-ray Disc" -- in my view -- should have done much better in the marketplace by now than it has.

In fact, I'm planning to upgrade to an APPLE computer setup in the future.

        APPLE is backing "Blu-ray Disc."

I wish the "Blu-ray Disc" people would get it through their heads that they're not the hottest thing in town and that cheaper solutions are available and if they don't start dropping prices, releasing higher quality movies, and putting full interactive support into new players, etc., they're going to lose.

          Hmmmm.

It seems there is some speculation that APPLE might support both formats.

...indications point to the first-half of 2007, when Apple plans to roll-out Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard as well as a major upgrade to Final Cut Studio, which is said will support both high-definition formats out of the box.
