Aiptek's New sub-$300 HD (H.264/MPEG-4) Camcorder
One can only imagine the level of image quality this unit will produce.
I would venture to guess it won't even touch the Canon HV10.
But it might satisfy some users on tight budgets.

Some guy in that thread posted some samples.
There are definitely big problems with the video -- however -- I was expecting much worse.
This should help to bring the price of really good camcorders down.

Those jaggies are just awful.
But -- you know -- it may not be much worse than the Sanyo VPC-HD2, which sells for more than twice as much.
It's hilarious to see how the term "HD" is being slapped onto this unbelievably cheap junkware for consumers.
It seems the term "HD" will sell just about anything.
But I suspect it will help lower prices for the decent stuff.
