    Hi all,
Today (2007.06.02) while i was finishing a 45 minute project with a lot of transitions the MSP 7 crashed when i tried to save the project. The next time i tried to open the project in MSP 7 i got this error "File reading error [20379:1:56]" and i can no lonfer open this project. Unfortunately i hadn't thought to have a back up of the dvp file (now i know). Is there a way to recover at least some of the project or i have to do it from scratch again? The project was a DV-Pal one.

    Phew!
I was quite lucky and i managed to recover the whole project! The way: i created a new DV-Pal project and i tried to insert the old project in to the new one, and guess what! it was succesfully imported. Lesson learned: Double save a dvp project!

I'm glad it work out for you.

I'm lucky, I did not crash MSP for 2~3 years now. Somehow, my PC became very stable a while back and I haven't crash ever since.

Lucky for you! Any NLE can crash at the wrong moment. Always make frequent project back-ups of your work in progress.
