Thanks for taking the time to post this info Jerry. I am following the HD camcorder scene and appreciate the updates.
These camcorders look pretty good except for the lack of external mic input. That is a deal breaker for me.

I do have a Sony MiniDisc recorder with the fast upload capability (USB) and I suppose I could synchronize audio recorded on a MiniDisc recorder with a digital camcorder that has no external microphone input, but that creates extra work because you have to make sure that you have an audio reference such as a clapboard or something similar and you spend extra time in your non-linear video editor getting everything matched up... it just too much extra work for me.
And there are low-cost models that have the inputs.
