  • Magix Movie Edit Pro 12?

The best video editor. Try it for free now. Movie Studio means: beginner-friendly operation + diverse editing tools and creative content.

No need to wait for expensive media like HD-DVDs or Blu-ray discs, simply use any standard CD/DVD burner to start making your own high-resolution WMVHD discs with DVD menus in 16:9 for playback via PC or compatible DVD player.
    Is that inaccurate???

Does Magix mean "HD DVD" images onto standard DVDs?

Or does Magix really mean this software allows you to make WMV HD discs with DVD menus???

Save yourself having to purchase expensive HD-DVD burners and the correspondingly expensive special blank discs: Now you can burn high-resolution DVDs on any standard DVD burner with low-cost blank discs that can play on HD-DVD-compatible playback devices. Free! Download update for burning special HD-DVD discs.
    Per the HD DVD spec.

I'm referring to the second paragraph on this page:

The best video editor. Try it for free now. Movie Studio means: beginner-friendly operation + diverse editing tools and creative content.

      Read it carefully.

Magix states: "...start making your own high-resolution WMVHD discs with DVD menus in 16:9 for playback via PC or compatible DVD player."

That can't be correct, can it?

They're saying you can burn a "Windows Media Video High Definition" (WMV HD) format DVD with menus.

That's news to me, if its true.

          I suspect it's an error.

I suspect they really mean to say the product allows you to burn "HD DVD" images to standard DVDs with menus... just like Corel and Pinnacle.
