To me new CPU architecture releases are very exciting. AMD will be releasing Barcelona (K10) on September 10, just a few days away. So far they have been very tight lipped about performance.
The bad news is that Barcelona will only be released up to 2GHz. Hopefully it will beat Core 2 Duo on a per clock cycle basis so if AMD can ramp up clockspeed they may have a competitor.
Barcelona should have some major bandwidth since it uses Hypertransport and is native quad core. I'm very curious as to how it will perform with NLE's.
