Possible to purchase download HD movies?

Since optical media has gone the way of the dinosaur I was wondering if anyone (Jerry) knew if it's possible to purchase HD downloads? Or stream them?

Come on Jerry. I want to watch movies in HD. Real movies. New releases, older movies, etc...

In all seriousness I'm all for streaming and downloading but right now there's really no content. 71 movies isn't enough to even consider. When they get to 7000 that'll be something to post about. And most of those 71 are strange flicks most people don't really want to watch. Most people are looking for actual theatrical releases.

Okay, let's take a real world example. Right now I have 5 movies on my Netflix queue. Of those 5 movies 3 are available right now in Blu-Ray, "300" "Fantastic Four" and "Prestige."

That's just an example. There are LOTS of movies available from Netflix in Blu-Ray that I've seen but would like to experience in HD. So if I buy a player now I can begin to watch those movies right now.

It's not possible with streaming/downloading at this point in time. You see I'm going to be buying a HD TV very soon and I'd like to have some content to watch on it. Show me the movies! They aren't there in downloadable form but they are on Netflix and it will cost me nothing additional since I already have an account.

So in fact my statement is quite accurate Jerry.

I don't have an X-Box and am not interested in SD. I can do that with Netflix.

The ONLY choice for HD is optical media.

And yes it is more limited than SD but there are still lots to choose from. Come on those 71 titles are pretty much garbage.

Netflix has over 350 Blu-Ray titles available right now. And they are all 4 or 5 star movies that are actually "watachable" not that nonsense that is much of the titles on that download site you linked.
