MainConcept has contracts with most editing software producers for their MPEG and AVCHD codecs, a revenue stream you don't throw out if you buy them. More likely DivX will put their product into that mix.
Three hopes:
Better DivX integration
DivX learns how to design a better UI
The price of free-standing AVCHD encoding is reducedLast edited by Dr Mordrid; 18 November 2007, 06:33.Dr. Mordrid

At a reasonable price, why not?
AVCHD decoding for 'normal' DVD player chipsets would be nice too, and DivX is making inroads with their codecs there already.Dr. Mordrid
