Pinnacle Studio Ultimate 11: Disappointment
I've uninstalled the Pinnacle Studio Ultimate 11 software on my computer.
It's a pity.
I love the quality of the Pinnacle DV codec.
However, the Pinnacle software manages codecs very poorly; for some mysterious reason, the Pinnacle DV codec stopped working properly. Very buggy. Tried everything to get it back, but no joy.
In addition, it took me months to overcome an authorization issue with an included Pinnacle plug-in manufactured by Bias.
Studio Ultimate 11 is incompatible with Cineform .avi intermediate high definition files. Again, this software handles codecs very poorly. It's so bad, it makes the software relatively useless for me.
In addition, I can't tell if there's any smart render going on or not.
I suspect smart render doesn't work properly in this software. Another bug, perhaps?
I'm going to try to get rid of this software on Ebay or something similar.
Lots of effects; very little substance and poor programming.
No more Pinnacle experiments for me.
