It seems a lot of people involved in video are putting a lot of time and effort into making fake UFO footage, which they upload to YouTube as a social experiment or as a way to show off their work or as a joke.
And some of them are getting a little bit too realistic.
Check this one out:
It was uploaded by a fellow who called himself Barzolff814 -- an animator who lives in France.
Apparently, his uploaded video generated an astounding number of page views on YouTube.
Turns out he used several 3D programs, including Vue.
His story was published in the Los Angeles Times (dated August 22, 2007) in an article by David Sarno here:
