Hauppauge HD PVR 1212?

Thanks, sounds like the capture quality of 1080i is good. I have the DirecTV DVR so the recording issues don't concern me, I'd just like the ability to capture and edit short clips.

Is its H.264 editable in most HD editing packages?

Anyone used the Hauppauge HD PVR model 1212? Component 1080i input, H.264 recording over USB2.

Sounds good on paper, $210 at Fry's, but does it actually work?
