Off-topic help, please

When I reregistered on the new system, my User Name and Password came up automatically, I did a clean re-install, since when they don't. I tried modifying my registration profile, but that doesn't help. Presumably, a cookie is recorded on the first registration. Is there any way to reset this, please?

Just to check out your supposition, please can you try registering under a new handle to see if that gets the facility back.

I always have to fill in my handle/password the first time I post/reply in each session, but from then on for the rest of the session it stays put.

I can't see anything in my cookies directory that seems to tie up with the forum and/or my handle, so it seems to me that it's more server-side based. I don't have any admin permissions to the forum server so I can't go investigate there.
