I am trying to get the PICVideo (free at www.jpg.com) software MJPEG encoded .avi to play directly out through the Matrox Decoder, by changing the PICVideo Four tag to dmb1, as
described here (with the Morgan software codec):
http://www.lwe.ruhr-uni-bochum.de/~roeder/rr/codec.html
With a file encoded by PICVideo at 4:2:2, I have tried using a hex
editor to change the header, so it looks like a native Matrox dmb1
captured file, but when I playback the image is stretched larger than
the frame (704x480, which is the original PICVideo file size and the
standard dmb1 Matrox size) at a very high speed with green flashes (and
I am unable to pause while playing back).
With this result, it seems possible to get it working correctly with a few more tweaks.
Any suggestions?
