I am unable to discern any distinction
between Ligos's LSX-MPEG Encoder 3.0
and "GoMotion" other than the fact
GoMotion is being licensed to 3rd
party software vendors as a codec while
LSX-MPEG 3.0 is being sold directly to
consumers as a stand alone software
encoder. Beyond that fine distinction,
the technology appears to be the same.
Even the Ligos Press Release mentions the
two in the same breath:
That is my understanding, yes. However, the only time I've used 'GoMotion' was with the Voodoo3 3500TV - and the quality sucked, big time. I was informed by Ligos that the ATI All-in-Wonder-128 Pro is a much better implementation of GoMotion.
