DirectX 7. Any benifits for NLE???

Are there any benifits installing MS DirectX 7?? Will it help NLE??

I currently have DirectX 6.1 installed .. Matrox RRS

To the extent that DirectDraw and the other "Direct" modules are a bit faster it *might* affect the rendering and timeline refresh speed of your editor. Otherwise I haven't seen much difference.

I think most of the targeted improvements in DX are now in the areas of 3D, streaming audio and video so....
