depends man. if you have a Large picutre with lots of detail its going to work. if you have a small pic then forget it~

Well, Az suggestion of adding random noise does seem to yield a nicer image... I might use this for printing them even at 10x15 (640x480 is a terribly low resolution).

But I'm afraid the kind of enlaring she'd like is not going to be possible...

BTW, Az: She accidently put the camera in low resolution mode without knowing...

Rather the latter, but it's not really a secret, it's more like we spent quite some time to develop procedures using our standard compositing software Digital Fusion from www.eyeonline.com

basically it all boils down to which algorhythm you use for interpolation and believe me, bi-cubic filtering (max available quality in Photoshop for resizing) is comparably crap ...

Az: the camera is a very very very simple Mustek (2 megapixel, fixed plastic lens, ...) which looks like a miniature video camera (foldup lcd screen on one side). One of the buttons is used to walk through the resolutions....

I wouldn't have a problem with that, since basically all our jobs are more or less top secret, until they go on air ... so if she's willing to take my word for not sharing it with anybody, I'd be willing to give it a try.

For a test, you could send over a less "private" picture and see if the quality would be good enough for your purpose.
