All on 1 Maxtor Plus9 SATA 120GB HD. Windows XP with SP1 and all updates/patches. Dual Opteron 240 (1.4Ghz). 1GB PC2100 RAM (4x256, 2 on each cpu). Matrox G200 Marvel PCI 16MB +HWDVD Module.

Uh, you might be wondering where all the rest of the system went. Let me just say I changed some of it so it looks more like a normal system. You are not likley to find home systems carrying 8GB RAM with 512GB SATA RAID 5 arrays.

what did you select for the PSU?

I used a Vantec 520A psu. (Because I had one laying around).

You buying those Crucials in 1GB modules or 512MB modules?

Already tried Maggi. But even with a Sapphire Radeon 9600 Pro 128MB card, I'm only getting 3300 odd. If this isn't a true sign that 3dmark is Mhz bench rather than capability bench then I don't know what is.

I have some info for you bud, when I was building my... eh... *other* system. If you experience problems with that 4GB RAM in getting it recognised while POSTing or in Windows (or whatever OS you use), contact Tyan or me. If not, have fun with that system
