"Dispozable" stuff available in EU?

Recently I've been hearing a lot about cheap (thanks to the fact that "processing" yur recordings is expensive) digital camcorder from US...and also digita cameras. All of them sooner or later (rather sooner) have been hacked, so they're mediocre at best, but extremelly cheap devices (so - perhaps something I could eventually afford to buy, at least in the case of camera). Only problem...they are at the other side of the pond Or perhaps I'm wrong?
