    I don't believe that. I've been looking over the past few days and the only thing I've seen is sleet and/or freezing rain hitting my glasses.

    Magnitude -5 making it the brightest comet since Ikeya-Seki in 1965, and it might get brighter still! Look from a shadowed area and block the sun with cardboard, the side of a building etc. It'll be a hands width off to one side or the other, depending on where you are.
