  • Always dissappointing

A couple of photo ops presented themselves yesterday so I had a go.

In the morning approaching my office the sun was perfectly framed by the arch of the local war memorial. I parked up, retrieved my Dimage A2 and ran back to the road to get a snap. Of course the sun had moved on a little in those 5 minutes. Here's my pic of the bunch:

    Dissappointing.

So I thought I'd keep the camera in the car last night in the hope I'd get a better chance today. Last night the fog rolled in thick and when I collected my son from band practice at a local church hall I saw this:

My photos never live up to their promise.

on the 2nd try a crop about halfway across, and the RH 1/3 of what is left. looks pretty decent to me. Nice with the reflection and emphasizing the vertical and the tree reaching to the cross.

try blowing out the highlights in the 1st one to bring up the detail in the darker areas and see what you think.

Its a shame the tree has lost some definition, but I do like the finished product. Ta.
