    took an extended weekend off and went to Rwanda:


    attitude problems?








    can get a little bit scary if the gorillas use the same path that you want to use. this one came out of nowhere towards us...


    ...but they are highly amusing on other occasions.
    "Perhaps they communicate by changing colour? Like those sea creatures .."
    "Lobsters?"
    "Really? I didn't know they did that."
    "Oh yes, red means help!"

      you are not supposed to get closer than 7m, but then the gorillas don't know and don't care... some of them actually came closer than 2m. fine for the little ones, but if a silverback waltzes up the path you tend to get out of the way.
